The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information Sir. Charles Udoh has  extolled the sterling qualities and work etiquettes of Senior Deaconess Comfort Umanah, the immediate past Director Of Information ( DOI) , in the State Ministry of Information.
The Commissioner made the remarks at a Thanksgiving Service held in honor of the retired DOI at The First Temple Church Of The  Nazarene in Eka Uruk Eshiet, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
The Info Boss described Umanah as an invaluable team member with immense experience, hardworking, result driven adding that she was a highly reliable hand in the ministry.
Sir.Charles eulogised the retired director and stated that her contributions were quite useful in driving the core mandate of the State Ministry Of Information. He posited that even at retirement, Umanah’s wealth of knowledge is an asset and one which the state is very proud to have. In his words…” Mma Comfort Was very passionate about her job and her commitment to her duties were never in  doubts because even if i call her at mid nights I’d still get responses from her ”
Udoh used the occasion to thank Umanah for her contributions to the State Civil Service and urged  those who are still in service to emulate her qualities . 
Comfort Umana who bowed out of the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service in retirement last week Friday after serving the  mandatory thirty five years, was visibly excited and full of gratitude to God for keeping her alive and throughout her years in service to the state also prayed God to continue to keep her in sound health even after service.
With nostalgia, the retired DOI took family, friends and worshippers memory lane and narrated  how she surmounted diverse challenges adding that God’s mercy and divine interventions kept her in service till the last day and advised those still in service to hold on to the promises and steadfastness of God as He alone can see them through.
In a Bible message read from the book of Mathew 24 Vs 13 – 14 the officiating minister Bishop Prof. Ahaziah Umanah delivered a sermon on the Theme: Continue To Fight The Good Fight of Faith. Bishop Ahazah stressed that the scripture is admonishing everyone to Fight The Good Fight of perseverance and endurance adding that anxieties and worries are the things that happens to a retiree the morning after retirement but as Christians, our hope and trust should be fixed on Jesus Christ as the lover and provider of all our needs.
Dignitaries at the occasion were Her Excellency, Mrs. Mather Udom Emmanuel, wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, represented by Mrs. Alice Ekpeyong, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Moses Ekpo, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and DG, Divine Mandate Group, Air Commodore (Rtd) Idongesit Nkanga, the Honorable Commissioner of Information, Sir. Charles Udoh, the Director General of Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Cooperation (AKBC), Pastor Anietie Ukpe. Others are the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Obong Paul Ekpo, the Chairman of Etim Ekpo LGA Mr. Udeme Eduo and Bar. Godwin Umoh amongst many others.
